Drishti Eye Foundation (DEF) is a Nepalese nonprofit organization, located in Kalanki, Kathmandu. The
foundation was established in 2019 with the objective of providing free or affordable eye care services to
underserved populations in different parts of the country. We aim to provide much-needed
awareness and care to those who can not afford such facilities on their own.

As a charitable wing of Drishti Eye Care System (DECS), this foundation has direct access to training
human resources and knowledge about local capacity building as far as eye care service delivery is
concerned. The foundation is currently working with NOVARTIS ( through XOVA vision award) in setting
up community-based diabetic retinopathy screening program. Similarly, the foundation has partnered
with ZEISS and has been providing free eye examination and spectacles to children in need through
Aloka Vision Program.
