“Drishti” in Sanskrit is synonym for “vision”.
We believe that everyone irrespective of religion, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and geographical location has the right to quality and affordable vision care. That is how we came up with the name Drishti Eye Care for our centers. Our eyes are the divine organs that lead us from darkness to light in the physical world. Protecting eyes and providing the gift of sight to the needy is no less than the greatest worship to God.
Mission
- To reach the many unreached people of Nepal by establishing modern tertiary eye hospitals in different regions of Nepal.
- To prioritize primary eye health care services to the community via extending hospital services to the community through primary eye centers and regular eye screening camps.
- To develop the infrastructure needed for the highest quality of eye care services at all centers.
- To provide super specialty services such as cornea, retina, glaucoma, uvea, oculoplasty, neuroophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, vision therapy, contact lens, low vision and ophthalmic dispensing at all centers.
- To enhance human resource development process by regular exchange of ophthalmic practitioners from different eye hospitals inside and outside of the country.
- To make the services affordable to the poor and needy.
- To partner with various NGOs, INGOs and other private organizations to combat blindness and visual impairment.
- To actively participate in research activities for inventing newer treatment and refinement of the eye care delivery services.
- To produce ophthalmic human resources after initiating a school of optometry and residency program in ophthalmology.

Our Hospital’s vision is to be Nepal’s highest quality eye health service provider at an affordable price. Establishing close relationships with our patients, identifying their ocular problems and providing the best available eye health service is our motto. And our Institutional Theme is “Drishti for all, Drishti forever”. We are the largest private eye hospital network in Nepal which has already won the heart of Nepalese citizens by its existing 7 branches throughout the nation. We aim to cultivate long lasting impression and experience among the patients who have undergone treatment in our hospital; come and share this experience. It feels not more than the other day that I and my close friends dreamed of an eye hospital with good diagnostic facilities and best treatment and surgical modalities. Time elapses so fast, now it has been four years and we are here with three tertiary eye hospitals in different major cities of Nepal, two primary eye centres in rural part of Nepal and two sophisticated eye clinics and optical at Kathmandu. Though we had experienced many changes, challenges, and successes over the past four years, we have been able to establish a new landmark at eye health care services of Nepal. Latest equipments and updated technologies of patient management are our backbone to stay current with the community’s eye health care needs. We believe success can be achieved through a balance of significant experience, a working knowledge of today’s best practices, and access to cutting edge technology. We offer expertise that goes beyond “state of the practice” to solve the patients ocular problems.
